December Daily: Day 4

Template

This year I am so excited to spend our first Christmas at home. Just us three in our own home getting to open up our presents. We’ll head off and visit our families too, but then we can head home when Emily is tired.
We love spending time with the rellies, but this year feels like our first real family Christmas!

Traditions: 2nd attempt at family photo for our Christmas cards. Church this morning – seeing lots of familiar faces around. Emily is thrilled to play with her friends. This week when I left she was playing with Eden C and Evie M and the Little People Farm (complete with alpaca).

Singing: Away in a Manger (Emily is learning it at church)

Homemaking: Phill put up a marquee for his party (6x6m all by himself!). It looks awesome! Here’s hoping it survives the storms we are supposed to be getting.20111204 Gazebo 07

Watching: Miss Marple while folding washing!

Buying: Some more groceries as Coles is open on Sundays. Seems we are stocking up the pantry!

Playing: Emily walking around in the Christmas stockings! Too cute, but she won’t be doing it again.

Eating: Hungry Jacks for tea – I couldn’t resist as we had a 2 for 1 voucher and there’s HJs at Joondalup. Emily kindly shared her chips with us! Smile How cute they are putting them in boxes now. Though there’s a bit of a debate about it since you can’t eat and drive anymore!

Oh and Emily was so so excited to get the little bubble blowing Occy the Octopus – maybe she’ll be saying C soon!

Realising: How little cash I carry when the EFTPOS is down at Woolies. On a hot day (at 18 weeks pregnant too) I decided paid the $1.50 to withdraw money at NAB, rather than walk around to Westpac with Emily.

How is your month travellling so far?
