As the weather is warming up here in Australia, I was mulling over this week’s challenge to document something I’d taken for granted. I wondered if I would miss the scorching hot summers of Kalgoorlie, where we had lived for the last few years.
The nearest beach is 380 kms away, it gets to be scorching hot (high 40s Celsius) in summer for weeks at a time and rains about one third of the amount we get in Perth (which by the way, is a pretty dry city!). Thinking more about it, I realized I’d really enjoyed the weather we had in Kalgoorlie – in winter especially.
