Stu, Kelly, Justin, Melissa G, Meran, Ben and Becky, Phill and I set off in 3 cars from Kalgoorlie BP Truckstop at about 4:30 thanks to Stu’s guineas pigs (you had to be there) and drove for 4 hours in the rain.
We stayed at Yot Spot apartments 3 and 4 on the Esplanade, which were really lovely apartments. After the early risers walked up to the jetty, we headed off to Cape Le Grand in the morning, and after climbing the rocks at Hellfire bay thankfully the sun came out and we were able to enjoy swimming (well Ben Phill and I) at Lucky Bay. We got home in time to see most of the Grand Final too. Games, a walk around town and more games, another trip to Hellfire bay for swimming (6 fish!) and another quick dip rounded off the weekend for us. We had dinner at Gibson Soak on Saturday night and celebrated Stu’s impending birthday with a yummy cake. We all headed off to Kal on Monday morning.
